Smoking a Trinidad Topes
A cold draw reveals sumptuous flavors of nuts, salty chocolate, and leather. This beautifully crafted cigar starts with crisp tastes of butter cookies and cane sugar, with pepper and spice on the lips.
Only a slight amount of smoke is produced in the mouth during the first third, but the velvety clouds are pouring off the end. Τoasted pita and charred berries take you into the middle third.
With a medium flavor profile building to full strength from the middle third into the final, the Topes outdoes itself with burnt woodsiness and a hint of lemongrass in the nose, morphing into tangy lemon and apple with a dash of salty pistachios.
