I've had less than five Cuban cigars, and this was the best. The ring size and length made this a very classy looking stick. It also had a few veins visible in the wrapper which added to the strong image the cigar projected. It had a nice even burn and it needed no touchups or relights. I detected floral and nutty notes along with a nice hint of something that I couldn't describe. Overall, it was an extremely pleasant cigar. Of course each of the Cuban cigars I've enjoyed were purchased and smoked while I was on vacation outside of the U.S. So, even though I enjoyed the others, the Montecristo Open Eagle was the only one that made me regret not being able to bring some home. If another U.S. President ever opens our borders/trade with Cuba, I'll be one of the first ones ordering these delicious jewels.

I received the cigars after 21 days. As previous reviewers have noted, about 10% of the cigars have dried and cracked…they don’t travel well for three weeks! That said, I opened them and put all but one in my humidor to give them a good moisturising. Sampled one of the dried out ones. Clearly they were in great shape when packed as the cigar smoked well. I can only suggest that a faster transition time should be found to reduce the damage risk. I will buy again from Swisscubancigars and have recommended the service to cigar fancying friends.

Great smoke, one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Thick plumes of tasty smoke, oily sheen wrapper and wonderful even burn and long ash make for a classic! Not Cheap, but through Swiss Cuban cigars, over half price!
