I’m giving this cigar 4 stars, primarily due to my high expectations. It seems that Partagas may never return to the blends they crafted 20+ years ago. However, the construction is top-notch, and the draw is excellent unlike D No2 for example. I’m confident that this 898 will greatly improve with aging, so I recommend buying a few boxes and letting them rest in the humidor for at least a couple of months.

Wow! Great stick! I have been buying & smoking Cohiba Siglo 1's for some time now & this cigar blows them away. The larger cools them down considerably compared to the "dog walkers", The additional tobacco is rich, smooth a pleasant treat even over the Cohibas, which are still a great tobacco, but these are just more, cost less & come from the same growing region. Just good leaf. I will continue o restock on these and pass them out to my friends to share the experience. Well made, triple capped, consistent firmness, nice long smoke with easy draw a great wrapper. Thanks!

First of a 3 pack sampler. Very nice draw and burn. Huge amounts of smoke. I would say medium/full flavors. Very enjoyable with a martini. A bit overpriced i think, for 25$ less you could have 3 siglo Vl. And personally I think the cohiba is a better cigar. Not sure of the tigers age, it may improve with age. But hey, probably not everyone will have some in their humidor, so give it a try, you won't be disappointed. SCC was perfect in every way...again.
