Smoking a Ramon Allones Specially Selected
The pre-draw is redolent of sweet hay and cedar. The first third is surprisingly lively, with a medium body strength right off the bat and pepper in the nose and tongue.
The second third opens briskly, strengthening the complex flavors with deeper notes of leather and earth, which builds to tangs of sophisticated marzipan and mouth-watering black cherry.
The final third finishes strong, remaining peppery and spicy until the end.

With an incredibly complex character, the Ramon Allones Specially Selected cigars are surprisingly elegant, belying the Allones’ reputation for producing finely crafted, robust cigars.
Ramon Allones Specially Selected Overview
The Specially Selected from Ramon Allones is a Robusto that’s almost 5” long with a ring gauge of 50, so it’s quite stout. It comes in a cab of 25, is wrapped in a gorgeous milk-chocolatey brown wrapper with few veins, a slightly oily sheen, and a little springy give when you squeeze it.

RASS is absolutely the bestAfter finishing my first box, ordered a 50 Cab from SCC and as always it came well packed with a large Boveda pouch. Opening it was like a kid opening a Christmas present early. the box had a March 18 stamp and it smelled awesome cedar. Along with Juan Lopez Selection N 2 are the best Robustos coming out of Cuba. The construction, flavors, smoke and ash build up all fantastic. Thank you SCC for the choices and the quality.

Officially the best Cuban Robusto everFirst let me thank SCC for the great choices, quality and prices of the Cuban cigars. The box I received of the RASS was a 2018 production which is a 5 year aged in a box cigar. Tried one out of the box and it was a bit dry. After a month in my humidor it blew me away. The rich flavours, the smoke and mostly the boldness of this cigar and for a price which is nothing compared to the Cohiba Robusto, however this and the Juan Lopez Robusto are by far better than Cohiba's ones.
