Two details make the Corona Gorda Añejados stand out from the rest of the crowd. They’re hand-rolled then pre-aged for five to eight years, so they’re expensive, but wow they are complex. These are also the only corona gorda vitola cigars in the famous Partagas range.
Corona Gorda Añejados Overview
At just under 6” and with a ring gauge of 46, the Partagas Gorda Añejados is a mouth-watering stick that has pre-aged for five to eight years in its original box. After aging and before leaving the factory, the cigars are opened, examined, and stamped “resivado,” which means “checked,” and are given a secondary band.
Smoking a Corona Gorda Añejados
The corona gorda vitola feels opulent in hand. It’s light for its size and has a consistent spongy exterior. The predraw smells of hay and faint leather, then the cold draw adds ripe cherries to the mix of barnyard and boots.
The initial third starts grassy and below mid-strength, which grows as the ash does. The stogie is a fast burner and as the creaminess leaves a peppery bite takes its place.
With building strength, the middle third reveals cedar flavors combined with dry pepper. The cigar ends strongly in the final third, on notes of nuts and cedar.

The pre-aging process increases both the cigar’s complexity and the price, with Corona Gorda Añejados costing almost twice the price of most other Partagas cigars. However, these sticks represent some of the best handcrafted cigars Cuba offers and deserves a place in any collector’s humidor.
